First Blog

Hey everyone.

I just started my blog, and I hope that I'll be able to post frequently. we still don't have Internet access, so I'll just have to update whenever I get a chance.

well, Pat and I have been married for a little over two months now! things are going really well. our apartment is still tiny, but it's perfect for now :D

Pat's grandparents have a nice cabin on their property, the people who live there now are currently looking for a house, and when they find one, we can move into the cabin. it'll be really nice for us, because we'll be able to save up a lot of money that we would otherwise be spending on rent.

I want to thank everyone for all that they did for our wedding. it would not have turned out so perfect if not for every one's help. Deb especially put so much work, time and money into it. I'm not good at stuff like that, so it was nice to have someone around who knew what they were doing. I'm really glad that everyone was able to come out to Utah. it was great to have everyone together again/ Mom and Bill were able to pull some strings and get us a condo in Mammoth Lakes California for our honeymoon. and Dad gave us some money for a wedding gift, and because of all of them, we were able to have a wonderful honeymoon that I've always dreamed of. unfortunately I'm not on my own computer, so I can't post any pictures, but hopefully we'll have an Internet connection soon.

I've been extremely happy this whole year. As soon as I met Patrick, I seemed to be able to get out of my depression rut that I've been stuck in for so long. As most of you know, I've suffered from clinical depression since I was about 14, and it only seemed to get worse over the years. I had a good friend of mine give me a blessing of comfort last year when I was having some problems, it was one of the darkest times in my life, and it was getting really hard to find reasons to keep going. In my blessing, he said that my troubles wouldn't be ending soon, but if I could just keep holding on, that it would all be worth it. and it has been. I am still suffering from my depression, but since a lot of the outside influences have changed, it has been a lot easier to handle, and now I have someone who will always be with me, will always been there to support me, and can help me through the toughest times.

I love you all. please keep in touch. in case you don't already know, my e-mail address is
e_a_baxter@yahoo.com we are going to get a home phone soon, but until then, you can reach me on Pat's cell phone. if you email me, I will give you that number
