I got a bunch of new t-shirts... here's the ones I got, some are alittle crude, but they're all hilarious!!!

Roughly translates to "your promised reward is merely a fictitious motivator".
Employee #1: Yo, Dave, manager says we will probably get a promotion if we meet the sales expectations for this quarter.
Employee #2: Yeah, so, don't get your hopes up on that one, Ed. The cake is a lie.
Employee #1: Really, aw crap. "

Nerdy is the new black. I had flair at work that said The Cake is a lie. It was funny to see who got the joke.
that;s awesome! I went to an improv. show a couple weeks ago, and they were asking for a phrase for the people to say, and I yelled out "the cake is a lie" and the host lady gave me a dirty look and said :how bout something that has to do with the challenge?!"
Oh my gosh I would have laughed so hard.
